Six new students in five disciplines recently began the Kroc Institute’s interdisciplinary doctoral program in peace studies. The program is a partnership with the Notre Dame Departments of Anthropology, History, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology and Theology.
Incoming students for fall 2015 include:
- Colleen Cross (theology & peace studies)
- Anna Fett (history & peace studies)
- Garrett FitzGerald (political science & peace studies)
- Katherine Grein (psychology & peace studies)
- Kristina Hook (anthropology & peace studies)
- Maryam Rokhideh (anthropology & peace studies)
Fett and Rokhideh are Notre Dame Presidential Fellows, Grein is a Kroc Excellence Fellow, and Hook is a Kellogg Ph.D. Fellow.
Created in 2008, the Kroc Institute's Ph.D. program in peace studies offers six distinct, yet related, degrees. Doctoral students are prepared for a wide range of scholarly, teaching, and professional positions. The first two students in the program graduated in May 2013. Ph.D. student bios »
